Going through some old storm photos
This one was taken on March 2, 2012 in North Georgia, near the Chattanooga, TN line.
Found a picture that had been taken of my truck at a local car show. Photo credit to Threo Ate (http://www.flickr.com/photos/threoate/sets/72157632680488883/show/)
Emergency crews entered the area a short time later, dozens of police cars and fire trucks. Search and rescue was on scene, locating and rescuing people still trapped in buildings. So far, one fatality reported.
Damage in Adairsville, GA from a possible high EF-2 or EF-3 tornado. Got into the town just as it was moving through.
RIP to my chase partner and close friend, Brandon Walker, who passed away suddenly while on a hunting trip last weekend. He’s the man with the other truck that has appeared in a lot of my other posts, and is standing next to his in this photo. He was a passionate storm chaser, and always went back to the areas affected by strong storms the next day to clean up damage the storm created. In April of 2011, he went and helped to clear the debris and rebuild after the devastating tornado outbreak that destroyed many lives. Now he has the best seat in the house for all of the storms coming through. RIP.
